INFORMATION ABOUT OUR LORD SAI BABA & HIS DEVOTEES

 

1)         Ramnavami Festival started in Shirdi from Ramnavami, 1911.

2)         From 10th December 1910 Satuday, Baba’s Shej Aarati started in CHAVADI  every alternate day.

3)         Tuesday 02, November 1909, Kakasaheb Dikshit’s first visit to Shirdi.

4)         On Saturday 10th December 1910, Foundation stone of Dikshit wada was laid at Shirdi.

5)         Dikshit wada’s GRAHA PRAVESH (House Entrance) took place on the year 1911 - Ramnavami day.

6)         On 05th July 1926, Monday, Kakasaheb Dikshit merged at Baba’s feet in Shirdi.

7)         On 19th January 1912 Friday, Megha merged at Babsa’s feet in Shirdi.

8)         From 20th November, 1934, Tuesday, a lantern was kept burning whole night in Samadhi Mandir, Shirdi.

9)         On 09th December 1911, Satuday, Kakasaheb Dikshit’s 07 year old daughter merged at Baba’s feet at Shirdi.

10)       On Sunday 25th February, 1912, Shama (Madhavrao Deshpande) along with Appa Kate Patil left Shirdi for Nagpur for attending Thread ceremony of Babu Dikshit.

11)       While climbing Dwarakamai steps, on the Right side there is scented stick (Agarbatti) woden stand.  That stand is from Baba’s time.

12)       Nanavalli merged at Baba’s feet in Shirdi on Sunday 27th October 1918 i.e., on 13th day of Baba’s Samadhi.

13)       Mhalsapati was so shocked after Baba’s Samadhi, that he did not take any food except WATER till 12 days i.e, upto 26th October, 1918.  On Baba’s 13th day (27.10.1918) he took Baba’s Prasad & left his vow.

14)       Tatyasaheb Nulkar started Baba’s Aarati in Shirdi.  After Nulkar, Megha was performing Baba’s Aarati.  Megha’s speciality was he was doing Aarati standing on ONE LEG.  After Megha, Bapusaheb Jog was performing Baba’s Aarati till Baba’s Samadhi.  Bapusaheb Jog’s Samadhi is at Sakori (Near Shirdi).

15)       Shama (Madhavrao) merged at Baba’s feet in Shirdi on Friday 26th April 1940, at the age of 80.

16)       Baba’s pet horse Shyamsunder merged at Baba’s feet in Shirdi on 27th April 1939 Thursday, amidst Band & Bhajan its funeral started.  Nearby 300 persons attended its funeral.  Its body was laid near the Samadhi of Megha in Lendi Bag, Shirdi.

17)      Bhagoji Shinde was a cousin brother of Laxmibai Shinde’s Father in law

18)       Darveshis Tiger merged at Babas  Feet on Wednesday on 9th October 1918, in Dwarakamai at Shirdi. After Tigers death, Darveshis were very sad. So Baba gave total Rs.50/0 to Darveshis to console them.

19)      Haji Siddiq Phalke of Kalyan first visited Shirdi on Thursday 14th December 1911.

20)       When Baba was there, at the time of Aarati in Dwarakamai, ladies used to stand in Dwarakamai & Gents to stand in the open space in front of Dwarakamai.

21)       Radha Krishna Aayi (Sundarbai Kshirsagar) merged at Baba’s feet in Shirdi in early November 1917.

22)       Great freedom fighter Shri Bal Gangadhar Tilak first visited Sai Baba in Shirdi on Saturday the 19th May 1917.

23)       Babasaheb Tarkhad was a mill manager of Khatau Makanjee Textile Mill at Byculla, Mumbai.

24)      Raghunathrao Tendulkar worked for many years in Graham & Co., Mumbai.

25)      Balaram Dhurandhar was a Principal of Law college, Mumbai.

26)      Megha was to perform Babas Aarati by standing on one leg.

27)      Nanasaheb Chandorkar merged at Baba’s feet on Saturday 21st August 1921 at Kalyan

28)      Nanasaheb Chandorkars Father Govindrao Chandorkar was a District Deputy Collector and he has his own house at Kalyan.

29)      Bapugir (Ramgir) born in 1856. In May 1902 he went to Jamner to Shri Chandorkars House with Udi and Arati “Arati Sai Baba Soukhya Datara Jiwa” written by Shri Madhav Rao Adakar. Both were given by Sai Baba at Shirdi to be handed over to Shri Chandorkar at Jamner.

30)      Keshavrao Belapurkar, Headmaster residing at Kalvan, Dist Nasik. His sons thread ceremony took place in Shirdi Samadhi Mandir in June 1938 and lunch was given.

31)      Saint Das Ganu merged at Babas Feet at Pandharpur on Monday 26th November 1962.

32)      With the help of ladder Baba climber the houses of Waman Gondkar and Radhakrishnamai and got down from the other side with the help of Ladder. AS soon has Baba stepped on the ground, Baba Gave Rs.2 to the Ladderman. The name of the ladderman is Venka Shimbi Kanblikar

33)      Hemadpant (Shri Govindrao Dabholkar) writer of Marathi Satcharitra merged at Babas feet on Monday 15th July 1929 at Bandra (Mumbai)

34)      Shir Balaji Vasant Talim who prepared Babas Marble Statue which is installed in Shirdi Samadhi Mandir merged at Babas feet on 25th December 1970, Friday.

35)      Saint Ram Maruthi took live samadhi on 28th September 1918 at Kalyan.
